![[ ]](http://img100.imageshack.us/img100/290/onul6.jpg) | Muerte Desert (1 sub-board) Barren and desolate, the desert experiences extreme heat during the day and chilling, near below freezing temperatures at night. Scattered among the flat sandy arena are mesas and the occasional oasis. The land is unmerciful and as relenting as a torrent. Rain is rare, and when it comes it comes in floods. The land is inhabited to only the most hardened and resourceful of creatures

The swim to the isle is hardly difficult though the occasional shark is spotted a ways off. The land of which many come to rest onto is actually a cluster of small islands though each and every aren’t particularly different, they’re all beach and jungle.

Water has built tunnels throughout the system and death by drowning [because of floods] is not unheard of. The caverns range in size, some being colossal and others miniscule. The place is shrouded in many rumors, some of which being whoever can get to the core of the tunnels that a prize awaits. Another being that the place is haunted and another yet being that one can get to any place in North Cherokee through the caverns.

The land gently rolls, with many holes littering the area. Hares and lizards are common, though standing pools and large trees not so much. Weather is slightly fast-pace on the scrublands and much of the territory is wide open… Which, depending is a good or bad thing. Good since one can’t be really snuck up on… But bad since there is no cover when the fur starts to fly.

Very few venture high into the land of rocks but those who do come to find one of the most spectacular views of the North Cherokee. Cloud cover is thick up there and temperatures are near freezing but to see the ‘Heavenly Kingdom’ is said to be worth the trip. The tree line is obvious and beyond the point where the dense Ombra abruptly stops is the danger zone. Prey is tough and world-hardened and the mountains are hardly stable. The ground is covered in solid permafrost and there is often snow, no matter the season, on the ground. The skies above are often gray and during the fiercest of winters white outs often take over the land, making it near impossible to navigate successful.
